Starting hours
Each skill can have starting hours: your estimate of time spent before you started logging. They count toward levels and your all-time total, but not toward past day, week, month or year, the heatmap or your streak. Set them with "Edit skill".

Level cutoffs
1 hour logged = 1 XP. A skill reaches level L at 2.5 × L² hours, so each level takes a bit longer than the last. This curve is made up. It was picked so the first levels come fast and ~10,000 hours (the "10,000-hour rule") lands at Lv 63. Category levels use 5 × L² and your character level uses 10 × L², since they add up hours from many skills.
